Decided to get a perm 3 days before a family reunion. The day after I got the perm I was sorry I got it. It takes two weeks for me to like a new perm. It's emotionally exhausting -- one day I am sick of my limp flat hair. The next day I don't like my curly volumized hair! It appears that every woman I see has straight flat hair. I'm the only one with puffy hair!
Most of my own family hadn't seen my new hairdo until we all arrived at the family reunion. Anthony, my 8 year old grandson, said "Gramma, you're hair is really pretty. I like it. You look like a rock star!"
